was gonna ride into boulder this morning on the 350 this morning but, she wanted to sleep a bit longer.  i drained the battery trying to start her but, threw it on the charger while i was away and she came to life at about 3pm this afternoon.   ;D

it's nice to have a 35 year old bike that will start after a winter w/ only a battery charge.

but, this thread is about a refresh after a hibernation.

i'll be needing:
1.  plugs
2.  wires- i like to build my own wires... anyone have suggestions on where to find caps?
3.  got the engine gasket set... thanks gordon!
4.  rear tire- i think i'll match the one that i replaced on the front last year.  it's the vintage style
5.  valve adjust
6.  cam chain just plain needs dealt with-  i have a spare motor to rob parts if i need but, say i wanted to order cam chain adjuster items... where's a reliable supplier that might have the hard to find items?

i'm presently fighting the urge to throw the dyna s ignition, black cafe fairing and pods onto the 350f that i had on reserve for the 400f race project...

anyway... it was over 60 degrees here today and had to share the excitement.

Heffay, check out z1enterprises.  Don't know if they have everything for a 350 like they do a 750, but I know they have caps, cam chain, cam chain roller for the 750.  They're awesome to deal with, and they ship quick too.

Hey Heffay!  You should be able to find pretty much everything you need between Z1 enterprises, Cycle-re-cycle, and David Silver spares.  Let me know if you want any help with the refreshing and I can ride up, if I'm off.  Oh, and by "help", I mean leaning back with a beer while I watch you work, and occasionally saying "you sure you want to do it like that?". ;D

Below freezing when I left in the morning, almost 60 when I returned.  Gotta love high desert...

Heff, I just wish I had the time to make the ride that far north.  Now that my 750 is running fairly well, it would be a nice trip...

Oh, and I'd join Gordon, and help his way.   ;D

Do you have any pictures of your 350F's?

I love those bikes! My father always wanted one but there doesn't seem to be too many of those around Ohio.

I'm just thankful I have my 400's.

I've been meaning to ask you guys with the 750's; are they too heavy to toss around on the back roads?

I really like the F and later K models.

I won't be near 50F until next week..... This weather really gets you down.

I concur with Gordon. He named all the usual suspects I deal with.

Gorgeous bikes...... Just gorgeous bikes 8)

You may want to look at a Moto Guzzi fairing off an 2004 Bravo. It's a tad taller a wider.

Have you guys ever taken your cafe seats into a upholster for a seat cover?

no... but, i probably will be soon... my cover is about 5 years old and needing a replace.  i've been recommended a shop or two nearby and i'll give 'em a shot... i'll let you know.  is there a reason you ask?

btw, i went on z1 enterprises last night... my list totals 450 bucks  ;D :o

should i go w/ the green dyna coils?  i don't know the spec offhand for which ones would be best... maybe someone that already purchased and tested could lend a suggestion.
