« on: July 18, 2022, 08:56:37 PM »
HI,

have you guys encountered fork lowers with no threaded holes to mount the lower fender support bracket or fork ears that are not drilled and dont' have the small reflectors....I know this model is a late model k1.

Ears could be from model where reflectors were on shell mounting bolts but sliders have to have been modified by po, i thought the k1 had chrome ears not paintef

Looks like the PO modified your fork legs. Likely filled in the hole for the reflector stem too.
K1 definitely had painted fork ears and the small reflectors. Here’s a brown one I did a while back...

Look inside the ears for the threaded nut bung.

I'd also bet they smoothed over the reflector holes. I'm too lazy to go look, but are the fender threads on the fender brace?  There was a ton of custom work done on a lot of these bikes in the last 50 years.

looks like he shaves them off the fork lowers like some of you said, i havent pulled the front end yet but when i do ill check to see if the reflector hole was just filled over. I have another set of fork legs with the threaded holes so ill use those.

Note the K1 lowers are the same as K0’s…..
