4into1 throttle cable with bad locking nut
« on: July 11, 2022, 03:53:23 AM »
Anyone used the 4into1 short throttle cables for their short bars? I got a set last week and the center lock nut on the pull cable doesn't lock, it slips the threads. I have a return request to them and awaiting to hear back from them.

i ordered some long ones from them, and a clutch cable, it was motion pro brand tho. It seems fine and works.

I don't think these aren't motion pro cables .
They are the only place that offered shorter cable set and someone on here had mentioned that they got the short set for the shirt 2" rise bars from 4into1 is the reason I bought them.

I bought a set and have only used the clutch cable so far.  I will give them a look soon though, my Hot Rod 750 only has the pull cable on it and it's looped out in front of the headlight.

I have made one order from 4 into 1 and half the parts are completely useless for what they claim they are for.

I have all shorty cables from 4into1, so far so good for me.

I will admit they are hit or miss with SOME of their quality. I will never buy tire tubes from them. Popped both after two short rides around town with them. The rubber is either thin, old or both.

installed their shorty cables today, i had this thread in mind so i was very careful with them. There is def a lot of wobble and not a tight fit on the nut/threads. Just keep it all loose until you have it lined up..no wrench on anything until the very end.

Well 4into1 sent another pull cable to me but it also has very wobbly nuts on their threads just like the 1st pull cable had in the set. Very disappointed in the lack of quality in these of the barrel theads and nut fitment. The length is a little short for the 2" bars and they do bind at the right hand swing of the bars because of the way I had to route them to get them to fit, routed under the guage mount and guages.
The clutch cable is the correct length and operates smoothly routing it through the original route in the center of the guage mount.
The brake hoses came with too long of the upper hose so I had to put a indirect loop to it rather than straight and may be the binding of the throttle cables swinging tight right swing.  4into1 doesn't offer a shorter upper hose so I'll probably have to find someone to shorten it later on as I want to ride it for the summer, lost too much time already waiting on them. I have my other project 750s to start building that have been delayed.

I’ve yet to purchase anything from 4into1 that wasn’t subpar in terms of quality.
Mainly rubber bits/gaskets and such for a 500t

Even items that they plaster with speech that speaks to the high quality.

Fun fact - the last item I purchased from them was an airbox for my K0. Littered with holes/pits and very rough casting with hand grinding marks all over.

They wanted me to ship it back at on my dollar. I refused. They ban me on eBay haha.

I refused to pay return shipping because they stated you could see the pitting and low quality nature of the item in their pictures. I asked them to point out in the pictures the defects I had a problem with. They would not. Just stated they are there. Kinda like big foot, you can see him, but he’s there haha.
