Topic: Grease for master cylinder rebuild?

 I'm about to attempt a rebuild of the master cylinder from my CB500. A few of the videos I watched mention using a little grease.
 Is this stuff OK to use?

I just wipe a little brake fluid on the cups and seals in the calipers when reassembling them.

That grease no, its for pads and sliding pins on cars, red rubber grease if anything

No, that is for between moving parts. I use that stuff on the back of the brake pads between the caliper. It's thick and tacky. Stop brake squeal for a little bit.

When rebuilding hydraulics I use a very light coat of the little tub or tube or pink grease included in many kits, or just wet a finger in brake fluid and wipe it on the sealing surfaces.

My rebuilds kit came with a tiny tiny plastic jar of red grease
