CB550 reproduction seat?
« on: August 10, 2022, 01:58:20 PM »
I tried looking for an original seat for my 1977 CB500 K3 (which is similar to a K3 CB550). Seems I have no luck. My current seat is a homemade cafe seat by previous owner, which is very uncomfortable.

Anyone knows of a place that sells reproduction seats similar to the original style? I have not been able to find any, only the earlier style which is different.

Following this one... Mine was re-covered so I might search for a new cover to redo it.

Maybe you can find a decent one on a salvage yard? Or get a new cover and some foam and get it as close as possible to original?

I picked one up at davidsilverspares.com. Good quality and an exact copy except it doesn't have the Honda on the back, which I painted later.

Looked for it in their website, but seems they do not have it in inventory.

K3 is an oddball seat, your only chance is a used one recovered as i doubt nos exists and not enough wanted for repop
