Not your normal carb adjustment question...
« on: August 14, 2022, 01:53:49 PM »
I've put my 400F back together and today I decided to sync the carbs....

The issue that I am having is that after a few revs the carbs don't fall back into adjustment and I found that the adjusters/arms aren't returning properly. I've had the carbs off, verified that there isn't any type of bind, and almost suspect that the springs holding the cups inside aren't "springing" like they used to. Has anyone else run into this problem and if so did you find replacement springs?

Do you mean the spring here?

Only have experience of 500/550s but they seem plenty snugly held by the springs.

All the springs in the holders do is hold the balls tight, they would not stop the slides returning so something else is "sticky"
