Here in Ca. the gasoline pumps say "up to 10% ethanol"... there's more ethanol 'in the mix' than just 10%..  ::)
What's a very good additive to add to my tank that'll keep the ethanol/water stuff completely and equally mixed within my fuel tank ?
I notice the ethanol/water drops to the bottom of the fuel tank where it gravity feeds in through the petcock down to the carbs into my engine;lot's of pinging going on,especially on reserve !
This happens after about a week with a tank of top tier Shell gas.

I've used both Marvel Mystery Oil and synthetic 2-stroker oil in the tank for this issue. Mine sat all last winter with a full tank of gas and about 2 ounces of 2-stroke (chain saw, says the label) oil, and no separation at all. Fired right up, came May!
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

You used MMO in E10 which kept it from having 'phase separation' ?

Fuel stabilizer as discussed in another thread will help?
This one is that kind of stuff, right?

No real test yet
I bought it at my nearby shop with dyno. Not expensive so bought it just for sure.
My bikes get Shell V-Power marked max 5% ethanol, maybe less.

I added a dose (2cl) into the K6 tank a week ago after I thought fuel had got condense water. Probably false alarm.

The guy I bought it from praise its function. He adds it in all his vehicles when parked for a while. Lawnmover, snowmobile, bikes and even cars when they use the lower octane 10% sh!t fuel we also have here.

I usually start my bikes midwinter, let them idle for a few minutes.
My garage is warm and dry, no worries about rusting pipes. My K6 has stainless.

If tank already has a layer of ethanol and water, it is better to drain tank, refill with fresh fuel.
Separate ethanol + water from gasoline has been up before. Maybe possible to do with old fuel.

Ah,ok Per,  ;)
I have never done that yet and I imagine this tank needs to be dried-out and cleaned;the left-overs of ethanol fuel  :( repulsive to the operation of my engine.
