Identify a mikuni carb?
« on: May 28, 2025, 05:59:04 PM »
This carb is on a custom barhopper with a cb450?, motor.  Story is the bike ran great, until running out of gas.  It has been sitting for 1 1/2 years so seals are what I’m after to clean it & reassemble. I don’t want to change anything, just clean it.  If anyone can help with model number or o-ring sizes, I would appreciate it.

I believe that is a VM carb. Is there a plug on the bottom of the float bowl? If so, when the plug is removed, the main jet is accessible, which is the first thing I would check. You shouldn't need any seals or o-rings to clean them. To determine the size, you would have to remove the carb and measure the ID of the throat on the engine side.
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

Thank you scottly, that helps a lot.  I’ll just clean and reassemble.
