Electrical Grounding
« on: September 16, 2022, 01:57:51 PM »
I'm sure this is going to sound idiotic, but I'm wondering about what I should be doing/where I should be putting a grounding place for all my wires that need to be ground. Does that make sense? Do I just pick a spot on the frame that's convenient for me, sand it a little and rig something up that I can put my ground wires to?
Thankful for everyone on this forum. Grateful to continue to learn so much.

If you are referring to the momentary switch wires, the gauges etc, then I like to terminate them on the backbone below the tank. I drill a hole, install a rivet nut, then use a button head screw to capture them.

For the mUnit etc, something closer to the battery.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis
