Clutch cable adjuster at the clutch lever
« on: September 24, 2022, 02:45:19 PM »
Has anyone ever seen a stainless 8mm clutch adjuster at the lever? I have had rust develop a few times on my K3 750. I’ve been looking through Yamiya, Z1 enterprises and some other places.
Chrome is available but it also tends to develop rust around the threads here.

It would be nice to have that piece in stainless.

I searched (Google) motorcycle clutch adjuster + stainless. I think I have seen elsewhere when ordering parts. I might have ordered one years ago.
This in stainless should be more common.

Aluminum would be ok but I think stainless would be tougher and perhaps look better.

Yes, aluminium might look bad when salty air attack where it has got wear by use and surface treatment gone.

I do not recall where I saw stainless version some years ago. It was a common place as DSS, Vintagecb750, CMSNL or Yamiya.

Can you make more?

As I recall I used a SS inner hex bolt to make it.  It was a pain  ;D

I had quite a time finding adjusters for my CB160 project. After buying new gray cables I wasn't about to spend ~$29 x2 for chromed steel adjusters, but I wasn't going to get anodized alu either. I think I found some from Thailand on eBay for a decent price.
