77 CB750F2 crankcase breather box.
« on: October 15, 2022, 01:51:49 PM »
When I purchased this bike a year ago it needed tons of work. All done pretty much and located the correct breather box, pcv box? Located beneath battery tray. What's involved to install this? Battery and tray to come out? Oil tank removal? Thanks to  the experienced ones.

On a '78 K model, you can reach the bottom of the battery box from the left side, may have to move some of the wiring out of the way.

On mine, there is a bolt that attaches the breather box to the bottom of the battery tray.

Edit to add:
Mine has 3 hose connections:
1-to connection on valve cover
2-to connection on air filter box
3-drain to bottom of bile near exhaust on the right side

On Red, with 78 SS engine, I run just a simple hose back from the valve cover. It points to the chain, if anything comes out of it it lubes the chain.

IMHO the box is not worth the effort.
