Making or buying a Center stand stopper ...
« on: October 20, 2022, 05:38:06 AM »
I recently acquired a 1975 CB550K1 and it didn't have the center stand. So i purchased a used one with all parts.
Also my bike has a 4 into 2 exhaust, so no center stand stopper or bracket anymore.
Can I purchase a used 1976 CB550F rear bracket with stopper? Will it fit?
Or should I make one, if so, any good ideas out there?
some photos of my new bike for reference.
Thanks,
JD

Relatively easy to fabricate a homemade bracket.  Rear foot peg makes a great mounting point and you can even get a little fancy and mount a rubber base to the piece.  I keep a tub of old muffler mounting straps and assorted other metal pieces around just for that purpose.  A vise, some stout metal, and a good eye to get the height right and you are good to go.....
