Winter Coat
« on: October 24, 2022, 09:36:45 AM »
For the first time in many many years I have decided to grow a beard this winter.  Two things have come out of this sprouting of hair, my darling Wife is not happy and it appears Gabby Hayes has been reincarnated........  (That name should test the memory of the old f%$ts on this forum.)

I had a beard once and shaved it off because I got tired getting hair yanked out by my helmet strap.

I wonder how many movies Gabby Hayes was in?

My favorite jacket has snaps near the collar that have little spring wires inside which grab and rip out beard hairs. I almost forgot how much fun that is.

My favorite Gabby Hayes moment is not actually Gabby Hayes, it is Jack Starrett as Gabby Johnson in Blazing Saddles: "I wash born here, an I wash raished here, and dad gum it, Ima gonna die here, an no sidewindin' bushwackin', hornswagglin' cracker croaker is gonna rouin me bishen cutter."

Well it is gone as of yesterday.  The Wife is elated, but I am going to miss the 15 to 20 bucks a week I was making from people thinking I was a homeless dude........ To be politically correct, let me say some humans look good with a beard, I am not one of them.  I thought maybe a "Newsboy" style cap would help the situation, after buying it all I wanted to do was work on Lucas electrical systems and sing AC/DC songs......
