I really like the frame color.

Eventually I'd like to take mine down like that, powder coat it and wire the entire bike from scratch. I'd do it now but I don't have a garage. I guess that's what a single guy's livingroom is for though. Next winter?

Just got the cylinder block back from the machine shop.  Now the pistons from cyclexchange slide right into place....beutiful!  Hopefully tommorrow I will clean up the bottom end and start the assembly process if I don't get too busy.  I have been working on a "74 750  and a '75 550 tank, I added a pic of them- send me a pm if you are interrested (they still need a good wet sanding and another coat of clear, though- the orange peel in the clear coat is due to being drunk and not using enough clear because I was afraid that it would run ;)).
JP

PS- For those sharp tack's out there, yes it is an F2 engine- The entire thing, block and all, has been beed blasted.

ARRRRHHRRR!!!!! I just snapped a ring!!!!  I feel like such a numb nutt.  I didn't even do it while ringing the piston.  I did it when I was turning the crank to get the #2 rod at tdc to get the piston on.  As I turned the crank, the #3 piston got hung on the lower end and snapped the middle ring. But now that I type this, it seems unlikely that it happened like that and that I probably snapped it while putting it on the piston. Well either way, I guess it's good at least that I found it before I put it all together.

I have snapped rings on my 350F at least twice.  The next time I rework the top end, I will have the shop put the rings on for me.

...I just went through that last week.  I got a pistion jammed in the case while turning the crank to repostion the pistons.  Piston was jammed, and I couldn't turn the crank backwards, so out comes the dremel to curt the piston out.   >:(  Board member sent me a piston, so the jugs and head on one now.  :)  I'll get the rest of it back together this weekend...is it 5 o'clock yet?   ;D
