I hereby say hello to this "world"!
« on: November 19, 2022, 12:28:42 PM »
Hi!

Today I picked up two CB500 which I got free from a relative.the black is a 500 Four - 75 and the gold/yellow is a - 72
The black one got a 650 in it and the gold/yellow one have been prepared for an engine swap (engine came on the side with broken gearbox). A lot of parts came with them. Engine, lights, fairings, a couple of exhaust systems, blinkers, a bunch of handlebars etc.

The plan is for now to take the engine from the black one and mount it in the gold/yellow. Swap handlebars and give it a clean and proper look.

I notice there are a bunch of things that separets the bikes but it's really hard to tell exactly which parts that will fit between them and which parts won't. For example does the gas tank look pretty much the same while the front fender and some other parts look completely different.

Well, I guess this was my hello to the forum and the world of owning a CB500 Four!

What do you mean? What should I switch to? Isn't SE = Sweden in here? It automatically set SE so I thought it was fine...

I think you're in good company with other local members. If you add your location to the title line of your next reply maybe you'll draw their attention. Otherwise worldwide we all welcome you warmly.

And besides, when you ask for help finding parts then others will know where to send you looking instead of somewhere you won't like the shipping fees from.
But hey, Do what you want....  just trying to be helpful....

Yeah, I'm happy for that. I just wanted it to be clarified because I didn't understand what to change.
