Well, I got a compressor, and a bucket of abrasion, just need some plastic to build a catch basin, and a better gun than I have.
I did, however, try it a bit. Guess I'd better invest in a hood. It did take some off, but will take quite some time.........!!!!!!!!!!
Sandblasting takes a large air compressor.
I was looking for certain companies a few years(hadn't located them..)ago which go to locations(mobile)& do commercial sandblasting(like outside or when they go to a jobsite)and I could possibly set-up something by speaking with them to agree on a certain time for me to bring my frame,etc. over toward the end of their job..
The size of the nozzles and Big compressors that they use would make 'short work' of my frame,etc. A 'Quick Blast' is all those large blasters would need to take the paint right off,then you can repaint.
Do you have any large sandblasting companies like that not far from you who do outdoor sandblasting? There are some companies that want the brick facade of their building blasted to bring back the original look of fresh material.
I imagine these commercial companies are near large cities?
I wouldn't mention motorcycle parts at first;see if you can find out what their schedule of jobs are:when and where and which places they're scheduled to blast the exteriors of buildings,etc.
I bet one of them could help work out something;you might just try showing-up at one of their jobs in-progress with the frame ready to be blasted and the smaller parts all strung together with a thick gauge wire through all of them,then offer one of the workers cash for some quick work.
That would be one way.
