Hello from Denver CO
« on: December 06, 2022, 07:03:55 PM »
Hello, new to group and motorcycling. I've always loved bikes and just pick up my first. A 1974 cb750 caféd / dirt biked monstrosity! My goal is restore it back to road worthy and making it mostly stock but modified where it counts. Take off the silly seat, put a close to stock paint job on it, fenders lights and signals and all the things that made these bikes great. Looking forward to deep diving lots of technical posts and learning

Welcome aboard from NH. Good luck on your build. I have half a dozen projects bikes I'm working on bringing back to life.

I lived a couple of summers up in Breckenridge in 1979 and 80 building ski homes. I rode my K6 all over Colorado on weekends that 1st summer, I left right about this same week of December on it when the temperature got back up around 40 degrees after it had been as low as 42 below 0 for a stretch and I didn't get back until May.
The picture is in May when I stopped by a friend's house in Goldhill having returned from Daytona with my traveling companion hound on the back seat. I spent a week with them letting the 6" snow melt some that happened the night I got there after riding in freezing rain up the dirt roads from Boulder. I had to rebuild a caliper that froze up when I parked from riding in the mud that night. It was an adventure that I won't forget.

Welcome from TX.

Suggest starting a thread in the "project shop" area so we can follow along and answer any questions you may have.
And for parts needed, post in the "wanted" area, most of us have spare parts that we will sell for reasonable prices.

Welcome to the group from Hawaii.  I am a newbie as well.

I would love to see a picture of your bike. I am curious what a cafe/dirt bike looks like.

Where are you? I am in Lakewood.
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

Blood is thicker than water, but motor oil is thicker yet...so, don't mess with my SOHC4, or I might have to hurt you.
