Aftermarket coils for CB350F question?
« on: December 04, 2022, 12:11:38 PM »
I purchased a set of aftermarket coils for my 1973 CB350F semi restoration.  The coils came with two spade lugs unmarked on each coli.  How do I tel which one is for the 12v power power wire (blk/wht)  obvioulsly leaving the other spade for the pts/cond wire?

I have all ready called the company ( parts distributor) for help and they offer no technical help or any insttructions ( my bad).

I am guessing it dosen't matter which, just like it doesn't matter which coil  goes on the left or right side of the bike as long as us get the cyl 1-4 on the right side (sitting on the bike and the cyl 2-3 on the left side (sitting on the bike).

Guessing is really stupid so here I am asking for expertice from this group.

Thank you,
Bradleycougar

My Dyna 5 ohm coils have no markings for 12V or from ignition.
I connected as I felt was most convenient. 12V less exposed for ev damage

If no markings then you can connect either way

Thank you for your guidence, it seems to be if it ain't marked you can choose either lug to be 12v in.  I will be consistant to use the same on both sided.

Again thank every one who contributed.
