Vincent 1951 Rapide C 998cc V Twin

I picked this bike up in 2019

It had one owner in the last 45 Years.

It's been completely restored inside and outside.

It's great fun to ride but difficult to stop with those Drum brakes!!!

Amazingly beautiful bike and a legend in the British bike history and folklore. Great to see someone own it who has it as an occasional rider and not a museum piece.

Will it still go 150 MPH?
Not that the brakes will help then, either...
Does your finger still smell like gas from the cold-start? :D

They held the land speed record for a number of years in the 1950's at about 125 mph

I get worried doing 50 mph as it's so difficult to stop with the Drum brakes. Being use to the big Honda's that stop on a dime makes the drum brakes feel even worse!!!

The bikes are put away for the winter now waiting for spring.
