Sold up, gone !
« on: December 10, 2022, 03:30:19 PM »
Hi guys, so we sold the house, contents, I sold all the bikes. We sold the cars and moved ourselves and the dog back to the old country. Terry In Australia will be amused to learn we bought a wee house 20 mins from Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford. Go on Google Maps and type in Y25W290 Ireland and see exactly where we are now. Might get a couple of bikes here as we are less than an hour to the Europort and a car ferry to France and all their lovely roads ;)

Congratulations! Our future retirement plan/dream is to sell everything and buy a shack near the beach somewhere. Possibly along the Keys, maybe a sleepy town along the southeastern Atlantic coast. It's all dreaming right now, but it sure does look attractive.

Congrats Spanner. The market was so favorable this summer too. You probably did so much better than the "sold everything & moved away" common to story and song.
Enjoy every day in good health with your loved ones.

Andy !... yes we would love to see you here in Wexford and Alan F, yes we got a great price for our crappy house in Nashville last May, not to be repeated anytime soon I'm sure. It was opportune to move this year and tbh Ireland is a much better place for us as seniors. We are entitled to lots more free services and help with living/ travel expenses too. My wife will be an Irish citizen in 3 years too !

We call it Irish coffee over here  ;)
Jameson often used. I'm sure the locals have alternatives ;D

"Irish pub" is a phenomen in many countries. Not only where tourists goes.

An Irish habit and fun stuff thread might be Spanners next build thread in the Open forum?
I'm sure we are many reading this thread getting good inspiration about life.
