Brake Pad Question

1978 CB750F Super Sport. Are brake pads the same front and rear? Thank you.

You can check conclusively by looking at the parts fiche on line, if they are the same they will have the same part number. Obviously I don't know.

Nope, sorry. They are different kinds of calipers front and rear. :(

From research, for anyone who cares, I have found that front and rear brake pads are identical.

By dang, you're right, according to the new parts fiche at Sound Sound!
I looked at a post-crash reassembly picture (from my old 35mm camera) I had, which had a set of F1 forks on it. They have the calipers (round-ish type) that don't have all the pieces that the F2/3 front brake has, and their pads are round, not squared like yours.
Sorry for the mis-information!

I forgot about the geneology of that poor bike. It met a Chevy rear bumper at around 35 MPH, broke the lower triple and bent the forks. F2/3 forks weren't available at the local junkyard, and the rider didn't care how it was pieced back together. Later on it got swapped again to a GL front end with dual disks and Lester wheels on both ends, but I don't have a picture of that mod.
