Crankcase transmission cover gasket rubber plug?
« on: January 12, 2023, 10:23:14 AM »
I took off my transmission cover and while taking off the gasket I discovered a small rubber plug that fell out from somewhere.

I can only assume it goes in the hole at the bottom of the cases.  It installs flush with surface and is covered by the gasket.

Does it go here, shown in pics below?

Indeed you are totally correct, it goes in that hole on the later engines.
Trust me I'm a Nurse, I promise it won't hurt....much
