  An interesting comment about web cams.
  I can't help wonder if he's happy with the recent success of that head. He only made 27 to start with.
  I wonder how much more easy it is to make them as a limited production part?  I'd guess run time on a 5 axis machine is a consistent cost even after the program is written.

A good friend of mine bought one for his pro mod bike. He  added converted to fuel injection but simply hasn't figured out a winning combination yet. That head is a work of art and should make big power in the right hands as Steve Johnson has shown.

  I watched TTT with George Bryce, he mentioned the Monster head has kz900/1000 stock type valves except 4 in each cylinder. He mentioned they were bulletproof back in the day when they didn't have rev limiters. The cams have kz lobes but twice as many.
  It makes sense to not invent everything in the head, they might have KZ similar guides and adjusters also. I'm sure spring and retainer tech has changed a lot. He also said the original idea was a busa style head made for the GS block.

  George also mentioned the riff between Steve J and Angelle. All in good fun, (maybe) Steve mentioned she can't work on the bike but spends pit time putting glitter on her leathers. She corrected that it's rhinestones, not glitter.

The Monster head is manufactured by Mitch Brown. There are several Suzuki racers using the Monster, most all modified and assembled by George Babor in Florida. Angelle is using the V&H four valve head designed by them. The V&H head uses rocker style cam followers and the Monster is shim style followers.

 I didn't realize they weren't using a billet crankcase yet, it's crazy they have to run stock cases when every other engine has billet or at least aftermarket parts. It seems like a Hayabusa bottom end with a GS top might be the trick.

Explains why the cases are hard to find and expensive these days. Me and Frankie were wise enough to get them for next to nothing back in the day  ;D

In addition... classic endurance racers use GS(X in Europe) engines as well and some of them seem to crack cases at a decent pace.

 I heard on the race broadcast yesterday that Vance and Hines are developing a billet crankcase. That makes one wonder, they've copied the Hayabusa 4 valve head, the smaller diameter clutch, and now Jerry Savoie is working on a plain bearing one piece crankshaft and V&H a billet crankcase. Wouldn't it have been cheaper in the long run just to allow the Hayabusa engine?
  It's like the Jr Dragsters where the billet motors can cost as much as a new S&S Harley V twin engine.

NHRA needs to revisit allowing them a separate transmission case as well. That idea was shot down in the past.
Besides our KZ (loosely-based) fuel bike, we have a guy running in the Western Pro Extreme series that has an actual billet KZ case. Jack Korpela from CycleDrag did some video of it when he came out west for the Medford race. I believe it's a one-off, it says "GATOR" on it.

 Eddie has a video on Instagram that mentions the billet case. It needs a conventional bearing for a one piece crank, then those bikes will get a little more longevity.

It appears Angelle got released by V&H. Too many #1 qualifiers followed by red or slow lights. Someone mentioned that Eddie K. was behind her in points and he's still there, the reply was he was doing testing. Any bets who will be on the main bike next year?

  Agreed.
  The small ladies have an advantage weight wise but at times they don't appear to have enough mass to wrestle a wayward bike back into a straight line. I'm a fan of Kelly C, a good sportsperson and she is sponsored by my union. It will be an interesting off season.
 I noticed Joey G. was going out of his way to compliment V&H for supplying him a competitive engine.

 I saw the billet engine cases are legal now, the 4 valve head may be more available, Suzuki appears to have what they need, The V&H bikes look amazing. Eddie K said even in crosswinds he hasn't had to lean into it at all. I want to know where's the Honda?

 I saw V&H on Instagram with the billet cases, it appears its complete with cylinders and a head with tiny ports. I assume that means the one piece crank is here also.
 I guess it makes me envious such parts are available, not that I could afford a billet sohc4.

 Andrew and co. at V&H designed an 8-bolt cartridge style GS transmission that can be totally swapped in 20 minutes. Now, if we could get that billet engine with a tunnel port SOHC4 head on it!
 That billet crankcase does still use the roller bearing multi part crankshaft though, I was sure they would do plain bearing and a forged one piece crank.
