Picked up a new wheel for the F3 front end on my F1
« on: December 22, 2022, 09:05:53 AM »
Picked up this Lester made for the F2/3 and 78-79 Comstar equipped GL1000's with the 5 bolt brake rotors for $300 shipped. Not the smoking deal I got on the 750F rear Lester that is on my bike now, but still I am satisfied with the price.

The 6 bolt Lester I am using now came off my '75 550F and I had to split up the set that had been on that bike to use use it. With the 5 bolt wheel I can put the 6 bolt back into my parts stash and save it for a future 550 or 750K project should one turn up.

That's an awesome alternative to the Comstar or wire wheel swap.
I've been considering a 16x3" Henry Abe seven star rear disc wheel mixed with a Suzuki 5 star on the front. I'm sitting on F1 and F2 rear swingarm/brake/wheel setups. I could use a 16" Harley drag tire.
Frank said the Suzuki wheel was an easy swap, it's sad that I can't ask again.
