Topic: 76 CB550 Longer Shift Lever?

Has anyone installed a longer shift lever for the CB550?  I have a size 13 boot and the tiny shift lever I find annoying.  I’m sure there’s a universal type since it is a clamp on style.  Anyone do this before and love the result?

I have a fused ankle from a bike wreak in 68 so I went with a heel toe shifter.

Nearly all the Honda shift levers on bikes bigger than 100cc have the same spline diameter and pitch.  This means dirt bikes like XLs, which often have longer shifters, will fit.   Just look at a 1976 XL350.

Yep, I made rear sets for my 74' CB 550K out of a set of 82' V45 Sabre pegs that have a remote shifter attached to the left peg mount. The motor end piece went right onto the 550 shifter shaft.
