Dees anyone know if there's a paint code that matches the gold decal color on the 71 gas tanks?

There isn't a vintage honda paint code like modern paint codes. There is no formula in their numbers.
You should be able to get close, or find repro decal kits. If your trying to touch up, that might be hit or miss..You didn't say what your trying to do.
A gold color on the tank is a candy that takes, usually, a base coat color, usually a middle silver color, then a final "candytone" gold translucent color to get the end result. The stripe? no way to know how honda did that...

here's a picture of the honda top coat paint used on my '75 honda....R-2C will not give you a formula ...just the name of the color...which is candytone orange...

I'm trying to touch-up a nick in the stripe decal. I figured someone has used a similar color to paint the stripes instead of using a decal. I was hoping there was an automotive touch-up color that was close to the original. I'm pretty sure Honda applied a decal on top of the candy and then clear coated everything.

someone should answer....there are companies that make paint for vintage hondas  that might come in paint pens for touch ups that might work..
there may  be a solid color that might work...

subjects for other threads: sometimes honda painted their tank stripes, sometimes used a decal...
                                        clear coats on vintage honda tanks, side covers is debatable. My '75 unrestored, original 550F has no clearcoat on tank or side covers....
