Topic: What else do you do in your spare time?

Fun new topic. Besides family, work and motorcycles what else occupies your free time? I'll start

Flying, sailing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

I play guitar, violin and banjo, and I've been failing miserably at attempting to learn how to play piano, but I'm not giving up.

When I was about 12 or 13 I wanted to play guitar really bad, I'm 70 now and after all those years playing, I have finally achieved my dream. I now play guitar really bad! But I do enjoy it!

Being retired now for 3 years I do have a lot of spare time, but you know I always seem to have something going on. If not working on my 70 Chevelle SS396 I am training my 1 1/2 year old golden retriever. Then add in 4 grandkids ages 1,3,5 & 7. I do like to help out around the house fixing stuff. I don't like to pay someone to do something I can do myself. Plus, get together with car friends to talk about "stuff" the wives are not interested in. So no couch potato here.

Good for you.  I always wanted to, never succeeded - I mean banjo.  I suppose you play bluegrass?

I run a digital agency (website development/digital engineering) as the day job, in my spare time I’m a professional singer in a RatPack style group. Have just finished playing Scrooge in a Concert version of a Christmas Carol. I’m the dude in the middle

I'm working at the moment......10 hours days and 8 on Saturday.

But, day after tomorrow is my last day of 26 years here. Played the drums growing up, joined the Army at 19, tried since then to learn the guitar. Can't get it.........!!

So spare time is sitting around, trying my best to do things around the house.....(clean gutters, yard work, dishes, draining and cleaning crap off the pool cover). I redid the shed I work out of, still need to finish that up, and build a work bench in there.

 We drag race and run a not for profit car club putting on three car cruises every year.

I don't consider most of my activities as being "spare time" anymore.  Maybe years ago..but for past several decades I've usually tried to live each day for what it's worth..experientially speaking.

The 'other things' I've done tho..in may 'spare time'..have been tinkering and fixing stuff..and to a large extent..beekeeping..which I've also done as a hobby and sideline since I was a teenager..  I also enjoy cooking..having BBQ's for friends and relatives..

Spare time, what the hell is that?
For the last 20 years I've been Mr Mom. Since 2015 I've been dealing with stage 4 prostate cancer. In 2018 my best friend from high school and I have buying dead 70's and 80's bikes to resurrect trying to only pay around $500 each for them. We've been pretty successful and now have 13 bikes, 10 finished riders and 1 almost done with 2 waiting for resurrection. We're nearing the end of our buying phase and almost to the ride different bikes all of the time phase. It's a bunch of fun to put a few close friends on vintage bikes and go for a ride.

I have my dad's Graphic View camera, but I don't think any pics have been taken with it since 1959? His mom was into photography, and he caught the bug from her. He did some pretty good portraiture work in the '50s, working out of a darkroom set up in the bathroom.

That's too cool! I'm a huge fan of that era of music!!!!

I box as a professional.
And enjoy time with my 4 kids. Been out of the gym for longer than I care but going to change that soon.
Not alot of spare time though working 70 hours a week on 3rd shift.

Sling in the winter, farming with a pair of neighbours, maintaining a pond and 97 acres, road racing (season 54 coming up) and a bit of travel to keep my wife happy. Living the Dream.
