Honda C70 Passport...got any measurements?

I checked with a friend who works on Honda CA77/78 305 Dreams and owns a few of them;he checked and says this is a chain guard(right side chain drive)for those bikes.

Likely the CA77/78 as too big to be a C70 with those dimensions...

Correct,plus the 1981' Honda C70 has a traditional left side drive chain case/guard.

FarceBook has a pretty active 250/305 group that might be interested. There alot of CA /Dream guys there. That is one bike that I could never understand the attraction to.

I've wanted a bike with one of those fully enclosed chain case/guards for a while:they make your chain last a long time.
I realize though that they're proprietary to each bike they came on;can't be swapped unless you do quite a few mods.

I've toyed with the idea too, maybe someday on a project bike.

Does anyone here have one of those cast aluminum chain housings for the CB750 with the 2 rubber accordion-style boots that connected to the cast-aluminum housing over the drive sprocket - which mounted to the 2 screw holes on the engine in place of the sprocket cover - and into which you poured 8 ounces of SAE 90w inside, to lube the chain?

They cost $119.98 in 1980 and we all the rage around here for the 750, but I haven't seen one in years. The guys I know who had them said they didn't adjust their chains but once per year with constant riding. They weighed about 6 lbs.

Shortly after I joined the forum I remember advertising one of those set-ups you are describing Mark that came off a K2 I had bought. I remember Ricky Racer out in California buying it and him kind of laughing as to why in the heck he was.  We all know he has some cool stuff around. Wonder if he still has it kicking around. That chain was quite minty looking on that bike when removed.
  I'll have to take a look on my other computer and see if I have a picture of it mounted up.

At the auction I got a NOS CB750 chain guard housing still in the box. Looks like the one I've seen on some KO's when people had trouble with the oil splash from the chain oiler. I will post up a pic soon.

I think I put something like that on my 750 back in the day. I also tried an aluminum sprocket in back as well as a plastic one. None of it worked very well.

I remember the nylon sprockets.  I was a motorcycle accessories sales rep in the mid-70s and one of the companies I represented was Jacwal.    They made kits that included a steel front sprocket, nylon rear sprocket, and a chain.

I like that Johnie,it looks like it will use the OEM stock chainguard together with that as the lower section.

Not sure if it was for top or bottom? Didn't look at it to close. I figure it was for the top since that was where most of the oil would sling off. I'll have to take a look.

The pic makes me think that's the bottom? and it matches-up to the stock OEM standard upper chain guard?

 I had a bike with the 360* plastic chain guard with the little oil bottle on top. I should have kept it, I also had one with the nylon rear sprocket. If I had been a farmer there would be a barn full of those old bikes by now.

Here's a pic when I brought my first KO project home. Only 18,000 miles on it. Check out that chain guard. I think grcamna is correct. What I have here in a box is the bottom which mates to the OEM plastic guard.
