We are building a storage room on the boat dock and need a door, found a nice one on Marketplace for $100. The lovely young lady also had 3 generators in her barn for sale, I was interested in the Cat, she said it was in running condition but I was unable to start it so I passed on it.  Then I noticed outside the barn she had two more, a Makita and a Honda.  She said they were her Grandfathers and he recently passed away and they were moved to her property in August.  I told her I was interested, checked the fuel, it had about 1/4 tank, yes it has a fuel gauge.  I tuned on the petcock, pulled the choke on and it started first pull!  I asked her how much and she said $100...ok! It's an older model but in great condition.

Cool tool!

Great score for $100.
I have a Honda EM 3500 contractor grade(handles, wheels and lifting eye) very similar to yours that I bought 26 years ago. It's still starts on one or two pulls. I usually have a couple of week long power outages a year.
Yours looks nice and clean and will be there when you need it. I only run Stabil treated gas in mine so it's always ready. If it was easier to get ethanol free gas I would use that. I've never had to do anything except regular maintenance since I've owned it.
I bought it 2 years before we moved out of the city and the wife gave me crap until the first week long power outage. After that no complaints. 8)

Yes, I will try to run only ethanol-free gas in it, a local convenience store now sells it.
And yes Dave, I plan to service it, I have already downloaded the manual...

Ever need a pry bar but limited or awkward area where you need to pry causing it to be hard to reach?
Check out this...

$13-14 depending upon if you get the 3/8" or 1/2" drive version.

Wire edm and how it makes the trick little sliding pieces out of a metal part. You probably have seen them, they appear to have no seam line between parts the tolerance is so tight. The video shows how it is done...

My bike trailer is one of those Chinese folding things, it works fine but because it’s so low it’s a nightmare to reverse. Spotty and I have almost ruptured a disc trying to drag it around when going to pick up/drop off a bike. I bit the bullet and bought a 12V motorised jockey wheel for it, which should make it much more pleasant to use. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Two decrepit damaged giants, between the two of us we've got one reasonable set of functioning parts, we've both knackered our backs out in the garage, pretty sure I had a heart attack, my knees refuse to co-operate if I sit down for more than ten minutes etc
However we persevere and usually get stuff done
i blame Terry

Looks alot like a box to me. Will you post a video of the cube rolling around under the reailer so we can see how it works?😁

No worries Jim, will do. As Spotty has said, in our defence, your honour, we’ve both had heart attacks, I’ve broken my back, all my ribs at least twice, an ankle, collar bone, most of my fingers and several toes, Spotty’s had a recent hip replacement and due to its forward weight bias that little Chinese Trailer is fcuking heavy!

With the electric jockey wheel we’ll be able to disconnect the trailer and drive it around without having to bend to uncomfortable angles, even with a bike on the trailer, if we need to. My back surgeon can’t understand why I’ve still got back pain after all the work he’s done on me, so last week when I couldn’t stand up properly or walk without shuffling around like my 92 year old mother in law, I saw an advertisement for motorised jockey wheels and a light bulb went off in my head (or maybe my last brain cell….) and I decided that we should try working smarter, not harder.

Yes, we’re probably both Woosie boys, but we want to keep farting around with bikes until we’re 6 feet under, so anything we can do to continue living the dream is money well spent. ;D

I'm in the same boat as you giants, just the 5' 6" version. I've broke my back, collar bone, all my ribs and fingers at least twice, wrist, arm, leg, ankle and several toes with a dose of stage 4 prostate cancer to top it off. It sure is fun getting old but I ain't quitting either. 8)

Got a new tool PAINT BOOTH for the poor man
It's a pain to do any painting in the Garage and makes a mess with all the over spray from paint
so I did a little shopping on VIVOR free shipping
This works as good as it can be
No over spray out in the Garage only fumes as to be expected
easy to set up by your self
