Fork ear indicators - bolt size and adaptor
« on: January 25, 2023, 04:12:10 AM »
Hello,

I'm in the process of replacing the indicators on my 78 CB550k. The replacement indicators use M10 size bolts. I'd like to retain the original fork ears.

Can someone please advise on the size and pitch used on the original indicators (pictured below) and if possible, point me in the direction of an adaptor.

I think it's M14? so I'd need a M14 Male to M10 Female adaptor.

Thanks in advance!

I have a US late 1978K and the US bikes have different fork ears where the boss for the flashers is brazed to the ear, so all one piece. You may need to appeal to UK/Europe for that thread size. But you have it in your hand so just measure, 14mm sounds likely. But be careful there may be more than one thread size, coarse/fine.
