 I knew a father/son that bought a classic mustang. They didn't have much sense, drove it in winter and went into a snowbank, a guy with a big 4x4 came by and asked if they needed a pull. They obviously did, so he looped a cable through the grille and radiator support and then drove away with a good part of the front clip bouncing down the road behind him.
 Reportedly, alcohol may have been involved. 
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.
