I'm about ready to put my Cruisin Image 836 back together.  I have HondaBond, Permatex 2 and Hylomar.  I never want to take this engine apart again and am anal about leaks-it's not a Harley.  I know everyone has different ideas.  I know a lot of folks say not to use anything.  I would normally use the Permatex on the pucks.  I would use the HondaBond all the way around the base and head gaskets.  I would also use it on the alternator and transmission covers.  I will be using a Crusin Image head gasket.  I would love to get some opinions.  I hope this isn't looked upon as an oil thread.
Thanks for any opinions.  HONDAS DON'T LEAK-or at least they shouldn't.

Honda bond on case halves too, very very light coat
I also had a bad neutral switch, it leaked through the connection. Had to replace it.

I should not use any additional sealer on any gasket.
Under pucks only.
Hondabond good for cases.

Make sure to tighten head nuts again after 24 hours.

I sealed a reused RCS base gasket with very thin smear of high temp silicone to get it right on my K6.

Newer head gaskets usually thicker so the 2 o-rings will not seal as designed.
Stock 2.5 mm to be replaced by 2.62mm.

See other threads about this. Hondaman has opened our eyes for it.

I have linked data about  o-ring compression and how to calculate.
Important that cylinder grooves for o-rings are as stock 0.9-1.0mm deep.

The lightest, lightest smear of Hondabond on crank case halves and under pucks. All gaskets fitted dry.
Trust me I'm a Nurse, I promise it won't hurt....much

I have used Permatex Aviation no 3 under pucks but it is thinner and more rinny than it look like when applying it.

I used Hermetite Golden in the 80's. Very good stuff for cases as well as pucks.
When not available tested Hylomar blue wich worked under the pucks, not cases.

Last build high temp silicone under pucks. It does not flow away at all. This is silicone for engines.
Left over after valve cover gasket change on my car where a few dots needed in corners.

I have disassembled after 6000km and it looked good, cleaned pucks and reused them again, same 329*C high temp silicone under.
It will hopefully keep that way for years.

Bike has frame kit, easy to fix top end issues.
