It locks you into position with your weight on your tailbone and it's hard to pull your butt off the seat for the big bumps/rail crossing/ potholes and such.
That is an important detail. I know how it feels to hit a pothole without standing up on foot pegs in time.
My back will get a painful crushing feeling.
I have had thoughts about the other bikes with similar design, how comfy they are sitting with legs forward.
This one a low priced bike in comparizon. Not that high insurance either for a new bike.
I have no need to ride that fast. It is too fast when I let the needle pass 200 kmh on my blue just for testing it.
Fun roads have no need for that speed.
160kmh is a common max speed for a short while when riding. We have cops here too.
But when bike is limited to max 160 something kmh might feel a little low.
EDIT:
There are several Youtube videos comparing the Rebel 1100 with Indians and Harleys.
Here one where the rider position is shown. It look like no problem to stand up on foot pegs if a pot hole will be seen in time heading the wheels.
I guess I have started to like this design after a few visits at an Indian, Harley and Victory reseller.
