Supply Chain Again
« on: January 26, 2023, 03:30:32 PM »
I tried to order a Caswell motorcycle tank sealer kit directly from the company where I have an account.  When it had not shipped in three days I called today and found out part of their product has been on back order since October and they have no kits in stock.  I canceled the order and managed to find a color kit on the West Coast with a British bike parts vendor, and it was the last one he had on the shelf.  Sadly my Wife and I have been waiting for computer chips for our 2022 General Motors vehicles since July of last year.  I call them every week just to let them know I am still thinking about them and advise them how pissed my "Better Half" has been all this winter with no heated seats.  It just gets old, I really miss pre pandemic days....

My car club buddy ordered a new 2021 chevy one ton dually, when it came in it was a 2023. They offered to build it with some options missing but he waited it out.

Friend took delivery of a Mercedes for the wife and several chips were not available and they took delivery with several features waiting on the chips to come in. Once they became,/become available they were to be installed at the dealer.

My buddy's wife wanted a BMW but, due to the chip shortage they could only get the one with the Ferrari motor. Now she drives a 650hp BMW.
