Carillo rods cost some today.

I'm sure they'll handle anything a CB can dish out. They look pretty heavy that's for sure....no beam taper towards the small end. I've always maintained a Carrillo A beam would be great for CB's. Light and plenty strong enough.

I  had a concern about the weight myself and sent them a message several days ago via ebay, but haven't received any response as of today.

410gm. Last I weighed Carrillo they came in ~ 330gm perhaps.

I looked over that ad carefully for the weight a few days ago and that wasn't listed. Maybe that was his way of answering my question.  Nevertheless,  thanks for the information on the weight of the Carillos for comparison.  I've got to do something about freshening up my F3 engine. A crank replacement is in order due to journal wear so I'm contemplating changing out the RC steel rods while it's down. A suitable alternative is the Cycle Exchange super rods like I have in the newer built F1 engine. But at least these H beams are an option as well.  I doubt I'd ever reach the horsepower capacity to justify the cost of Carillos on my budget.

They look good.
I'm currently fiddling with new Super rods and a crank. Crank might be updated locally if possible to balance it.

My CycleX super rods with ARP bolts, nuts and bearing shells fitted.

Bloody good price , especially if your in the US, exchange rate Aus $1 = US.69cents,  calculates that Aus $800 = US$552 plus freight

I think Uncle Tez aka "Terry in Australia" has used his cast front break disc's.

I am sure he was selling SOHC stroker cranks with short rods.

RPE had billet cranks on eBay a year or two ago. Maybe 69mm stroke. I think they have rods for it too.

Ask where possible, as a question on eBay. His CB750 rod add.

I asked CCC Germany about heavy duty primary chains in their std Honda chains add recently. Got quick answer that a batch will soon be made, next day he found the last set he sent an PayPayl invoice for.

Hugh had a batch of billet 69mm cranks made up with short  rods. Last I spoke to him, some time ago, he only had one left. Pretty sure he would be using the H beam rods in their CB race bike. If someone really wants more info, best to just give him a call on 061 0408 639 666.

What do Carrillos cost?

They're around $1.5k now. I snagged mine from Ken at CycleX almost 2 years ago when he was doing some work for me and I paid $1.1k

Cycle X are now also using the RPE rods in some engines. I think they list the weight somewhere on their web site.
