Bilstein used to make motorcycle shocks, but quit in the 80s (?).  Bilstein, Koni (now Icon), and Girling used to be the most popular alternatives to the screen door closers that Japanese manufacturers would install on the rear of their bikes.  A couple of years ago Bilstein announced that they were getting back into the motorcycle business, and the first bike was going to be the BMW  S1000 RR.  I don't know if this happened.

I've got a full set of Bilstein(guaranteed for life)sport suspension struts/shocks(installed back in 06')on my 87' Volvo 240DL heavy car and it handles great.I totally overloaded the car plus an overloaded trailer and it felt stable and solid for 2500 miles when I moved out here back in 2013'.
I can only hope that Bilstein rear shocks are available for our vintage Honda bikes.

The ones you have are not Bilstein shocks.  I think they are Chinese, with a Bilstein decal.
