Hi everyone, I'm new to to the world of CB's having only bought my first one last year. Before that it was just a series of road and dirt bikes. Anything that would get me from A to B.   I got hold of my CB750 k2 last year and I have spent that time trying to get it  to roadworthy condition.  Its been a interesting journey with lots of work to the front brakes being the biggest one and a fair amount of money spent to get it registered. However after my first ride ride came the worst part and I'm hoping you can help. The bike was running poorly , breaking down under load. i checked the points and changed the plugs. 3and 4 were fouled so I removed the carbs. When I took off the fuel bowl on number 4 you can see that someone has drop the carbs and it has landed straight on the main jet housing actually cracking it. It hasn't broken off but I'm assuming that fuel is being sucked into the cylinder without metering. I have been trying to find a replacement carb housing but they are fairly rare. So can anyone help with this.

Welcome aboard benster208 from north of Boston up in New Hampshire.

That is usually someone over tightening the emulsion tube that cracks that part if the body. There is carb numbers on the top of the carb bodies that you will need to get the correct series and which cylinder carb you'll need too(see pictures to verify your carb numbers, red arrow is pointing to #4)
There are a few members on here in Australia(I think there is an Australian section on here ???)that will see your post, but put a ad in the wanted section with the carb series numbers and which cylinder it is, someone might have one available.
Did you put in rebuild kits in the carbs? It looks like someone put in aftermarket jets, those can be a problem with getting the bike to run properly.  The aftermarket jets and float valves are not made to the same specs as the original brass parts made by Keihin. The original brass is cleanable if you have them??

Welcome....I would not say CB carbs are rare, they just may not be available around you down under. I found these in less than a minute..   https://www.ebay.com/itm/304774715319?hash=item46f5fd17b7:g:sswAAOSw1h5jx-X7&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoMPkZLFp%2FELVEzok5bHDhdu2Gl004r2H5Oy%2B5gmFhDwhR5dsG5uIFWGCnyX8rLagWGaUAie48IXNvPwWj%2BJAENz1XkuzBeNQHKF9HeEqkdnA6vZKpTWwetVu%2BYIMNfW5J%2F8IFWb66%2F3454onQcPQtun9hjGI6CrMwS%2B%2FRVKdMEUh9Pz1smoBOh1%2BGhR8YpKeNAaK3KREVd0VyEs5vZYiWrU%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR5KUvpjGYQ

I suggest PM'ing "Terry in Australia" he may have the spare parts you need.  And/or post a thread in the "Wanted" section, a lot of us have parts to sell  [beware of scammers, though]  Good luck

ok thanks for that. I'll check the part number on that carb. The kit was put in before my time but I have the old kits but not the floats. Is "Terry in Australia " his profile name?

I can personally attest to the legitimacy of newday777's comment.  :-[

ok , so I am in the process of getting some 2nd hand carb body's from Terry in Australia, but in the meantime I tried metal putty around the cracks and it seemed to work. First ride out was great but then when I jumped back on the ride home it started missing again. Carbs are now back off and I found a small pin hole I had missed. Also when I was moving the floats up and down I noticed that they would catch in certain positions. I removed them and you can see that the floats were not straight. When being adjusted someone has bent the float and not the little metal tab . Lastly as I was preparing to refit the carbs I came across this little hose running across 1&2 carbs which has a split in it. I don't really know what it is. Can someone help me out there.

Sorry, forgot to mention this part. I cross referenced the part number with the list newday777 posted and I have a 657B carby set. The main jet for this carb is 105 and I am running 110. So this would mean a richer burn. How much I'm not sure. Any help would be great.

Float bowl vent tube, brings fresh air into the float bowls, probably should not have any cracks in it.

Parts manual, D15, E26, "Tube, rubber 3.5 x 26"
