Chris - It rose to a sweltering -1C.yesterday.  At 95mph, that would be a wind chill of about -14C which actually is a balmy temperature on the northern prairie in early spring. A few more weeks of this and we'll be hearing the usual ice stories..

I did a quick 10 mile trip Saturday and about 40 miles yesterday. It's supposed to be sunny and 75F tomorrow so I'll be riding to work.  ;D But then rain on Wed., Thurs. and highs in the mid 40's over the weekend.  :-\ Oh well, it'll balance out soon.

Threw the girl on the back yesterday, was a muggy 65 degrees out. We toodled around the neighborhood, then up around Mt. Tabor, and a slow cruise home.
Not the first ride of the season, but first time it wasn't to work or to check fuel/air mixture :/

Was great. Looking to get her a bike.
No.

I was out on Sunday for the first ride of the year, and good thing I did, there is about 9 inches of snow on the ground this morning!

Gonna be in the lower 70's today, so I am def. going riding once I get outta here.
Bringing the camera to get some newer pics of the 750 in the city while I am out and about.

I better enjoy it today/tonight because the rest of the week is said to be in the mid to upper 30's  ::)

Well I couldnt wait any longer so this morning with 15 mins to spare I fired up the K2 for the first time this year....started right up!! This was good as it means the new chrome alternator/cover that i installed actually works and Ive fixed my wiring issues I was having......After warm up (about 4-5 mins, 40F outside), I went or a quick test drive around the block, avoiding the snow piles and sand on the road (new tires so was being careful)....anyway, bikes riding well from what I can tell and throttle response is very good :-). Ended up idling at 1100rpm when I got back although will probably have to balance carbs this weekend.....I still want stiffer suspension on the back but I have a set of CB900 shocks on their way so hopefully this will help.....Sunday is looking sunny so hopefully get a longer ride then. Wooohoooo! Riding before work always puts a smile on my face :-D

cheers
Andy

Never stopped - it hardly ever snows in Seattle, and doesn't get below freezing very often.

First ride?

The 8-mile jaunt on the 750 where the rear brake seized, the front started dragging and the miss on #2 and #3 came back.  Now I'm completely rebuilding the entire brake system, front and rear, and re-setting the float heights in the carburetors.

took the 400 out a few days ago.  Nice 70-miler.  A TON of fun, even on the freeways where she gets a little winded, but keeps pulling.

I'm just glad to know I'm not the only one out riding in the cold.  I'm proud to say my little cb350f will start even in 25 degree (F) weather.  My co-workers still question my sanity on that one.  :)

Took mine out for the first time Thursday...  I hadn't riden it since late december, but it fired right up!  I rode around a little bit- maybe I'm crazy, but I could swear my helmet felt a little tighter than I remember!   :P  Anyways, now I need to change the oil, adjust valves and timing chain, etc..

Some friends and i went for the first ride of the year yesterday.  Beautiful day, about 19 C and had a great time.

Today however, overcast and forcast for rain and snow, about 5 C.

Glad we got that one in.

It snowed yesterday (spitting snow),
it is snowing today (stronger spitting snow with winds),
and it is supposed to snow BIG time tomorrow (big snow, rain, hail and bad stuff from sky predicted to benight us in Vermont).
SO NO I have not ridden this year yet, but thanks for asking
and rubbing it in.

The main reason I haven't ridden this year is all the screwheaded studs I
use in my mc tires are worn out, and the bike has a tendency to slip
on icy corners. ???
peace,
michel
