a million and 1 now, but I only watched 4 min.  I always take the tank, side covers and seat off before a first clean, but maybe thats just me?  Anyone know this guy?

Ha ha...no idea on who this guy is.  I thought he was doing pretty damn good.  Made it to about 25 min. in and then?...out comes the black rattle can and he paints the damn rims.   bye bye guy

nah seriously, big props to him for not needlessly tearing the poor old engine apart as so many do.

I liked it. Can't expect everyone to do a full restore. Rattle can happens sometimes.

I wonder how engine look inside after that hard start,  bending pistons to move in those rusty bores.

Not a thin surface rust, deep rust that reminds me about a cylinder I bought for +0.50mm pistons.
2:3 sleeves had to be replaced when bores had small pores left after the deep rust when bored for pistons.
That rust needed at least +0.75 or even +1.0mm pistons.

Engine probably ok when parked.
Rings and pistons must be damaged. Maybe the rest inside too when rust flakes massage all bearings.

When doing a quick flip making money only another thing, next owner's headache.
Not a professional restore in my eyes.
Total lack of respect for the bike. Maybe I'm the only one that is not impressed.

I have never understood people starting old rusty engines that will guarantee inner damage.

I've seen his videos, this one he is keeping to ride for now, not to fit at this point.

This guy did a fairly good beginners series covering the basics of a 750 the cheapest way possible. Lot's of people ride these bikes in this condition, for what the video series is he did a good job. It was def set up to gain views and what not since he had so many episodes...but by the end he found a replacement seat,  repairs and rattle can color matches the side covers pretty well, gets a 4-1 on there and new chain and sprockets...and he loves riding a patina bike, I can't knock him. He doesn't have any sketchy structural stuff goin on...just got it back on the road.

I noticed those bars too, they are the ugliest I have ever seen!
