Do these dowel pins sit proud of cylinder, or flush?
« on: February 17, 2023, 07:11:03 AM »
I had my K8 cylinder milled (.003" off).

Looking at the 8-12mm dowel pins and they are sitting proud of the cylinder now.  I didn't check when I tore it apart if they were flush.

Are they supposed to be flush with the cylinder?

I went ahead and took off ~.7mm off of each one so they would sit flush, makes sense to me.

When you get them all done,blow-out all the holes and put some oil on them and do a 'test fit' with your cylinder head;Mike may have had it milled a little also.
75' CB400F/'bunch o' parts' & 81' CB125S modded to a 'CB200S'
I love the small ones too !

Yes, Mike milled the head .003" as well, but that only affects the 2 bigger knock pins at the front corners and they have room to spare, but will re-check to make sure.
