« on: February 19, 2023, 08:14:02 AM »
Hi ,

What parts of the engine were painted and what was unpainted on a CB550 K3.
Trying to get it as close to factory as possible

Thanks

The head, cylinders and engine cases were painted. This included the left side cover on some, but not all, of the 550. The right (clutch) cover was buffed lightly and clear lacquered. If the left-side cover wasn't painted, it, too, was buffed and clear lacquered. I don't know what delineated the painted vs. lacquered left covers, though?
