Topic: CB550 k3 Helmet decal

Hi,

Does any one know if a CB550 k3 gets a "Helmet Holder" (the yellow and black sticker) on the right hand side cover for the front helmet hook?

Trying to put the bike back to original as possible.

Not sure what year model you have or if it's an export version?

The two owners manuals (found here - http://manuals.sohc4.net/cb550/) pictures are blurry and it's hard to tell. This eBay add includes two stickers, I know that doesn't mean the bike gets one at each place.

hmm...a simple search turned into a not so simple answer....
the short answer is.....it had to....probably....every 500/550 I've seen has 'em......you need someone with a 1977 K3 model , unrestored would be best, to show you where....sometimes the decal was on top of the right side cover for these 500/550 K's..
The long answer....
   I searched CMS  honda parts pages for 550 K3's - K0's...also 500 K's ...the decal didn't show up anywhere. Yet it is a honda part with center code "323" which means it first showed up on the 500-4's.....
Also, I have an original, unrestored '75 cb550F which does come with two for the front and back helmet holders, as does the '76F.  But they don't show up either, and I have a first edition honda parts book for the '75 550F which doesn't show them.....
... and I looked at frame, rear fender, seat, side cover parts diagrams......

it does appear partzilla might have them....there is aftermarket also....

Thanks for all the help! I am leaning towards that they did come with a sticker on the top of the right side cover. Ill let you know if I find out definitively. My bike is a general export in kph.
