Oil cooler adapter removal
« on: February 24, 2023, 10:50:13 AM »
Hey folks, I have a 78 750K and the previous owner had a Vetter fairing and an oil cooler underneath the fairing.
How do I remove the oil cooler adapter plate in the engine?

Thanks

Johnny

Update. Thanks very much, I have the adapter off.

It will be for sale as well as the oil cooler itself if anyone is interested.

Thank again

Be sure to run [proper] 20w50 non-detergent oil in the 78 CB750. The oil cooler was popular when 10w40 oils were used because those engines run hotter than the early engines. Never run 10w40 oil in these engines in summertime.

How about Shell Rotella T4 15/40 ?
I haven't used it in a CB750 but do run it in my vintage Honda's;it's truck oil and it also has the 'Jaso/MA,MA-2' additive package which works very well for the wet clutch and transmission in motorcycles.. w/ a very good price per gallon at a Big Box store.
