Topic: CB550 k3 fuel tank overspill drain hose size?

I can’t seem to find the correct size of the larger line that is used to drain fuel overfill from the tank and  take it to ground. Any help (metric size ideally) appreciated.

cms says it's a vinyl hose.....13mm...outside diameter..

but my '75 550F says use this...5.5 mm...with a caution at the bottom ...

5.5 would be fuel from tap to carb not overflow from tank to ground

the overflow fuel line from the tank to the ground IS 5.5mm...rubber...for the '75 550F as shown by a first edition, Honda parts book...U.S...

cms shows different for the '77 K3 ...

I remember the 550k3 being same as 750f and being huge and clear with a black plastic pipe connector around the ear rubber mount area

I guess that's why cms shows a "vinyl" 13 mm OD for the K3 model.......which contradicts the caution message at the bottom of the "hose" chart that says not to use vinyl for "fuel" lines......
Looks like honda did....Matches your memory.....and the connector tubes are different, so I bet the K3 is bigger...

 Every F or K model I've owned that had that hose was much larger than 5.5mm.
 It's all but invisible...just find something that fits the nipple.

every 550F I've owned has/had a tank drain hose of 5.5 mm , just like honda said it should. That includes the one I have now..
cms says about 23 models used the small line....53 others used the large.....

 to the OP : also, the I.D. , according to honda, is 9mm........

Thanks everyone.  My current drain hose is much larger than 5.5mm, so I’ll go buy some 13/9mm hose for replacement.  I like the look of the green Ducati bevel fuel line.  It’s only a drain hose anyway! 👍

 How can it be 5.5mm line with an I.D. of 9mm? The 9mm sounds closer to what I've encountered.

 Unless you're planning on having the bike judged for a concours, just get whatever fits the barb and the connector.
