Coils on other bikes may differ, but ours do not show continuity from primary to secundary windings.
Coils that show correct resistances, may nonetheless prove defect in practice, meaning intermittent misses after some miles on the road when coils are fully warmed. To test the resistance of the secundary circuit, it's good practice to wiggle the HT leads with the probes attached, to rule out a defective wire. Graphite core wires are notorious for that, at least on our bikes . In my experience plugcaps are often overlooked as a possible cause of malfunction. They may need to be replaced say every 20.000 km. Whenever you pull the plugcap of the sparkplug, be concentrated and make sure your movement is not too wild, compromising the connection HT lead - cap in the process, like when your hand travels too far.
