Getting back on two wheels with a CB650
« on: March 19, 2023, 01:07:20 PM »
Hi there,
Andy from Cincinnati, OH here. My sad story... Was hit by a drunk driver riding my beloved W800 to work last August. Totaled the bike and about totaled me. Had some complications, so it will still be awhile before I can ride.

Started looking at project bikes to keep me busy as I continue recovery. Plus, I was struggling with not having a motorcycle in the garage. Talking to an old friend and he offered me his old 81'CB650C. Funny thing is, I rode it home for him many years ago when he first bought it. Bike is in need of some TLC, but the price was right and it has a fly white seat. So I'm going to dig into this thing. The list is already long but really looking forward to some garage time as I'm able. Seems like a potential money pit. Good thing I'm starting from $0 spent!

This is my first Honda. Have had 3 Kawasaki's and 2 Moto Guzzi's so far. Seems to be a wealth of information around here. And so far parts don't look impossible to find.

See you all around!

Welcome aboard Andy from NH.
That was quite a hit to fold that rotor over. Glad you are on the mend and have a project to look forward with.
