If bike has frame kit and engine is to be taken apart:
Remove carbs, head, cylinder and pistons while in frame plus drain oil, remove oil lines etc
Now easier to swing out the bottom end with a strap alone.
I have done that twice. I even removed cyl studs that were easy to remove. I have replaced them before, HD studs .
Last time no help to lift bottom end up to the bench so everything completely apart on the floor.
Engine was resting on thick soft bolster.
When bottom end job was done, assembled with everything tightened. I swung it back into frame. I stand over the bike so not that hard.
Pistons, cylinder, head etc. mounted in frame.
The endless riveted drive chain does not need to be opened.
Make max slack and lift front sprocket out of the shaft with chain and push backwards.
This is how I remove rear wheel at every tire change.
Then chain guard to be removed too.
But I have a complete engine swap to do. From one bike to another.
Or maybe only lift it out. (Another bottom end goes in since that bike also has a frame kit)
Rest on the floor on its side on wooden plank so ignition side is not resting on floor and wrap the frame around it, tugn over and continue the build.
