Hello all,

back again after longer time... my brother unfortunately had accident on my K7 back in June 2021, took more than a year to fix vast majority of issues (bended frame, main stand, damaged tank, damaged whole back as fender, taillight, its holder, one pipe destroyed, handlebars, mirrors...etc, etc) but some still few to be done. One of them is cracked left side cover (still in one piece but quite cracked).

So, plan is to buy replicas (I posted in on forum in wanted section for nice original in excel black but no reply  :(), have them painted and then move emblems from original to replicas.

Here my question comes - any proven trick how to remove emblems w/o risk to damage them? I know plastic "bosses" that are passing via cover are quite thin and prone to crack so just want to avoid another issue... sofar only plan is to carefully cut that "speed nut" ?

Thanks

I was able to use a small pick to gently pry up one or two of the small prongs enough to get the nut off without damaging the post.
You only go around once in life so it might as well be on a motorcycle.

Same here..... bent pin and carefully bend the tabs up. Flatten and reuse them afterwards.

Yamiya has the little push nuts but they come with the badges.
A note of caution. Be sure your side cover badges go on with the wings facing forward, it’s easy to get them swapped.DOH!
