Well look at that, Happy Birthday Terry. May you continue to get older, but NEVER grow up!

Thanks guys, I’m not really feeling any older, so that’s a good thing. Bikes really do keep us all young, and I’m constantly surprised and slightly horrified when after a day of riding it like I stole it, I look in the mirror and see that creepy old geezer staring back at me….. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

At least 20 years biking left!
Soon time for a trike build to be used when your aging need it?
Replace rear wheel with a 2 wheel axle on a bike of your choice.
The hottest Kawasaki maybe? ;D
Something like this for Harley:

Thanks Stu, I had to laugh today, my personnel manager rang me to remind me that we’re having my “Personal development review” meeting tomorrow and I had to fill out my section of the form with my goals and aspirations for the year?

I told him that I have absolutely no goals or aspirations at all apart from retirement. He went very quiet for a minute and said, “Well your meeting won’t take long”, and we both laughed. As much as getting older sucks, it’s a good feeling being able to see the light at the end of the tunnel…. ;D

Same here, no plans except doing my job until I'll retire.

Maybe 3 years more. Need to save more $ to refill my acounts.
My bike build stole over $2500 a few days ago in some parts I only clicked ;)
Still some parts missing....

Unstable times with pension funds that can or probably will go bad due to idiots in charge.

Yep, my retirement fund lost 50 grand of my money last year Per, pretty much wiped out a whole years savings. That 50K would have wiped my mortgage and funded my Route 66 trip. Fcukers. ;D

You have a few bikes as additional funds Terry ;)
I have around $100.000US left to pay on my house.
I have not been in a hurry to pay that very soon with a very low interest of 1.14%. Saved money on another account.

End of this year probably 4.5-5%. I had that level 2004-2007 on a bigger dept.

Savings get higher interest too so not that big difference of interest in reality before the savings were much lower.

But, I need to pay quicker than planned. Who knows what can happen with saved money when bank goes bad as they have started to do worldwide?
One thing is sure if my bank should go bancrupsy, my savings will be lost but not my debt of same amount!

We had planned to buy another property in a better climate before selling the existing house.

Yeah I’m always impressed with how the financial institutions always seem to come out on top Per. I was hoping that my retirement fund rebounded after last year, but that’s probably just wishful thinking. The interest rates are scaring off buyers here, they auctioned the house next door to me last weekend and I don’t think anyone bought it. That might not be a good thing, if it doesn’t sell and goes on the rental market I could end up with a bad neighbour, which would suck after many years of good ones. ;D

Ha ha, maybe I should invite Dion and his chapter of the Outlaws MC over for a BBQ? Or maybe Brian’s club? Nah, that might piss off my good neighbours. I’m not surprised if it didn’t sell, the inside pics of the house look great but his backyard is awful, I looked over te side fence which has been falling down for years because he’s got some massive trees that need to be chopped down or severely trimmed before a new fence can be built, and under the deck there’s still old tyres and rubbish everywhere. My backyard is just as bad, but of course I’m not trying to sell it. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)
