Tonight, I decided to pre-lube the 836 before trying to start it, I put on the oil tank, poured in a pint, added air to the top and got the oil up to 80psi. Then I opened a rocker cover to check for oil flow. When I did, it released air, I followed the valve cover vent and for sure, it went to the top of the oil tank. I hadn't caught that but should have.
That leads me to the question what's the popular option for an NHRA legal crankcase oil catch can/puke tank? I'm thinking the jaz one made for jr. Dragsters. It has a K&N style filter in the top. I had one but used it on the transmission of our dragster. I see them from $8 to $800 online.
